EAGLE in the Villages – Launch of "Operation Chaitanyam" in ASR District

With the objective of making Alluri Sitarama Raju (ASR) district free from cannabis cultivation and drug abuse, the Andhra Pradesh EAGLE (Elite Anti-Narcotics Group for Law Enforcement) launched "Operation Chaitanyam – EAGLE in the Villages" at Korrai Kothavalasa Village, Dumbriguda Mandal, Alluri Sitarama Raju District. The programme was formally inaugurated by Sri Ake Ravikrishna, IPS, Inspector General of Police, AP EAGLE.

The campaign will be implemented extensively across all mandals and all police station jurisdictions in Alluri Sitarama Raju District as part of a comprehensive awareness and enforcement initiative aimed at achieving a cannabis-free district.

The event was also attended by officials from the Revenue, Forest, Agriculture, and Tribal Welfare Departments, along with public representatives, village elders, farmers, students, youth, and a large number of local residents, who participated enthusiastically in support of the initiative.
