EAGLE

EAGLE was established through Government Orders issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as a specialised State-level organisation for narcotics control. It functions under the overall supervision of the Director General of Police, Andhra Pradesh, with a clear mandate to coordinate, guide and strengthen NDPS enforcement across the State.

EAGLE operates within the constitutional and statutory framework, ensuring that all actions are lawful, procedurally sound and judicially sustainable.
Organizational Structure
Plans and coordinates major NDPS operations, including eradication drives, transit interdiction, joint railway operations and targeted enforcement actions.
Collects, collates and analyses field intelligence, offender data, financial inputs and trend assessments to support proactive operations.
Drives investigations under Chapter VA of the NDPS Act, supports property freezing and forfeiture, and provides legal guidance to ensure procedural compliance.
Implements geo-tagging, satellite imagery analysis, digital intelligence tools, offender tracking systems and forensic capabilities.
Designs and delivers training programmes, SOPs and best-practice modules for officers handling NDPS cases.
Leads public outreach, EAGLE Clubs, legal literacy initiatives and citizen reporting mechanisms.
